A dairy-free mudslide is a non-dairy version of the classic mudslide cocktail, simple to make with a quick change of a few ingredients. Non-dairy substitutes are evolving in both variety and taste, and those that are eschewing dairy because of an allergy or simple to avoid it can enjoy a mudslide that comes close in taste and equals the booziness of the classic.
The vodka and coffee liqueur are both non-dairy (Kahlua is the preference for coffee liqueur, and it is dairy-free). Bailey’s Irish cream is packed with milk products, but the OG of Irish creams made a non-dairy almond-based alternative, Bailey’s Almande, which is used in the drink.

If you want to make a frozen version instead of the traditional one, you’ll need ice, a blender and non-dairy vanilla ice cream.
How to Make
On the rocks: Drizzle the sides of a coupe glass with lines of chocolate sauce. Place vodka, liqueur, and cream into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until chilled (around 20 seconds). Strain the ingredients into a coupe glass with ice. Garnish with whipped cream and lactose-free chocolate shavings.
Blended: Drizzle a hurricane glass with chocolate sauce. Place all ingredients (plus non-dairy ice cream) into a blender and pulse until well blended. Pour into a hurricane glass and top with whipped cream. Sprinkle shavings onto whipped cream.
